• Persistent cough
  • Persistent feeling out of breath
  • Persistent cough, with or without hemoptysis (rust-colored or blood-tinged mucus)
  • Hoarseness
  • Chest pain
  • Chest wall masses
  • Fatigue, weight loss, or lack of appetite.

    It is so important not to ignore the persistent symptoms that are mentioned above. I had a patient once that had persistent coughing for months but did not go to the hospital until he began having great difficulty swallowing. By that time, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer that had metastasized. Very scary.

      I know what you mean. My ant who died from lung cancer was coughing for 6 months, she went to several doctors and they all said it was allergies and no one bothered to do an X-ray when she was finally diagnosed her cancer was already in the liver and breast and she died within one month. Our clinical assessment and judgment is very important in this cases!!
